Carousel Horses
Carousel Series (1982-2000) In 1982, the artist spent a year regularly visiting and drawing and painting from a large privately owned, working Musical Carousel in Danbury, Connecticut. It was 66 years old at that time, and owned by Walter Dulap. She returned to the Carousel theme over the ensuing years, producing many paintings, drawings, pastels, and monoprints of the creatures and carvings, capturing the spirit of movement, play and hidden ethereal qualities of this unique, popular, colorful Carnival attraction.
