Cigar Series (2000-2010)

The artist’s husband and his friends were frequent cigar smokers – she could not pass up the chance to try her hand at a new subject, so she did- and gave it her own flare- painting various brands of cigars on four foot by six-foot canvases - floating in air, with smoke drifting up off the ash end, giving the convincing illusion of a fully lit cigar!
